Hard Times Come Again No More (with BID)

American songwriter Stephen Foster wrote this song “Hard Times Come Again No More” and published it in 1854. Fast forward 164 years – the year is 2018. Bill Schachter plays mandolin and sings the song with two friends: Ben Wright on guitar and Frank Pappalardo on harmonica. This trio is known as BID, Blessing In Disguise, or The Notorious B.I.D. (Shout out to Biggie Smalls, although Bill admittedly was not familiar with this iconic hip-hop reference until it was explained to him.)

BID first started playing together in 2010 and continued playing and singing together with Bill up until the late months of 2020.
