Peach Pickin’ Time in Georgia (with comments)

Peaches in Georgia can be picked every year from mid May to early August, with July being the peak of the season. Back in February 2006, Bill recorded the song “Peach Pickin’ Time in Georgia” and decided to overdub himself making comments – kind of an educational bit which teaches the chord progression… it’s comical, sorta absurd.

Bill clearly got a kick out of recording this commentary, and he eventually starts speaking directly to Ansel Barnum who presumably received this recording via email in the form of an mp3 file.

This song was first recorded in 1932 by Jimmie Rodgers, co-written by Jimmie Rodgers and Clayton McMichen.
