Lookin’ For Paradise (early version)

This recording is from the early 1980’s, self-recorded by Bill Schachter on quarter-inch tape.

“Lookin’ For Paradise” was Bill’s favorite, out of the songs he’d written. He noted that it was also his wife‘s favorite, and it turned out to be the obvious title for his album — which was released at the tail-end of 2020.

Bill’s original lyrics, as you can see, date back to August of 1976 — riddled with typos, peculiar capitalization, misspellings, and complete with chords that he crossed out with pencil.
